Not sure where this one belongs- I read in a book that there's clinic in Switzerland that treats RA patients by wrapping cabbage leaves round their joints........

Well, it is the BEST BEST remedy for breast feeding I have to say! There is a substance which cabbages give off whic reduces pain and swelling...for sure...

Our fridge was stacked with cabbages for many years! LOL

Oh this DID make me laugh.

I think we can put it with the bee stings and the gnat's pee remedies.

So sorry to belittle your post, but if there was such a remedy, we wouldn't have 'Arthur' and there would be no need for NRAS.

Warmest wishes, Ann

Hello everyone x
I know EXACTLY what u mean Amanda ;) - cabbage leaves were quite the fashion extra for me at one time ~ AND they worked!! ......Now - dont knock it till u have to try it y'all! .....But if u DO try it, definitely make sure to check for protruding leaves BEFORE going out!!!! ;)
They DEFINITELY work for breast feeding probs BUT I have never thought of this for RA before Maria, but now you mention it, (....& I know it sounds completely quackers)... BUT just like Amanda said it is certainly known to reduce swelling and I'm pretty certain there must be some pain relief properties in there somewhere too.....
I'm not saying its a cure... but I can remember crying with excruciating pain before discovering the amazing power of cabbage...... and we dont HAVE to wear it - we could just try eating more of it?

......Oo Err! Im already starting to get a l'il bit worried about the design of Jean's next going out outfit........ ;)

Could someone make me a cabbage leaf bra, please? If they reduce swelling, maybe it will help with my weight loss?

Cabbage leaf bras and a few nettles for whipping oneself with- perfect RA cure, didn't you know? I do it every night without fail!

LOLOL

I didn't mean cabbage leaves would help RA but they do help the first few weeks when Breast feeding, they are like little circles of heaven!

Love,
A

LOL LOL LOL Nice one Mary- sorry it's at your expense StewartSad

Ann- you're not belittling the post- it sounded wacky to me- and the comments have been hilarious- just the cheer up I need.

Just goes to show though- sometimes there is a bit of truth in some of these natural remedies!
